2023 BOLD Woman Award by Veuve Clicquot Ceremony Celebrated at Solaire Culture Exhibition
London, 31 May 2023: Veuve Clicquot, the iconic Champagne house, hosted the 2023 BOLD Woman Award Ceremony – a modern evolution of Veuve Clicquot’s Business Woman Award, which has been running since 1972 and is the first and longest-running international accolade of its kind – at the Solaire Culture exhibition in Piccadilly Circus.
On the night, exceptional female entrepreneur Tessa Clarke, co-founder and CEO of food-sharing app Olio, was awarded as the winner of the 2023 Bold Woman Award by Veuve Clicquot. Karen Scofield Seal, CEO and founder of seaweed innovation firm OCEANIUM, was awarded the Bold Future Award by Veuve Clicquot celebrating up and coming female leaders of the future.
The likes of Emma Louise Boynton, Montana Brown, Victoria Aspinall, and Yomi Adegoke, joined host Naga Munchetty alongside previous BWA winners & finalists Debbie Moore, Victoria Hornby OBE, Jennifer Rosenberg, Jan Fletcher OBE and Sophie Mirman OBE and panel members Pip Jamieson, Lorraine Copes, Katherine Garrett-Cox CBE, Jenny Garett OBE, Meribeth Parker, Naomi Kerbel and Carrie Hindmarsh to celebrate the achievements of these audacious and innovative female entrepreneurs.
Guests enjoyed Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and canapés in the Sunny Side Up Café, a popular feature of the Solaire Culture exhibition (the UK-leg of the Maison’s touring 250th Anniversary global exhibition situated in Piccadilly Circus open until 6 June 2023), followed by the Maison’s 2015 vintage La Grande Dame to celebrate the winners of this prestigious award.
The shortlist selected by an esteemed, independent panel of judges for 2023 also included Victoria Prew of HURR, Izzy Obeng of Foundervine, Louise Hill of GoHenry and Claire Hornby of ME+EM, who emulate the qualities of Madame Clicquot, an original trailblazer who back in 1805 was known for her enterprising spirit, as well as her courage and determination necessary to accomplish her goals.
