Dom Pérignon x Sarabande Foundation: A Partnership That Supports Creativity

Dom Pérignon and Sarabande Foundation announce partnership to support creativity in London. Dom Pérignon, the House that sees champagne as an act of creation, and Sarabande, the foundation that supports and nurtures the next generation of creatives – both sides are connected by the belief that creative minds should be given the potential to push boundaries.

Dom Pérignon’s support will contribute to the ongoing development of Sarabande High Road, two Grade II listed town houses full of artists’ studios which will open later this year in Tottenham, London N17. With 15 new, heavily-subsidised studios and a new exhibition space, this exciting new expansion will deliver the foundation’s mission to help more artists, craftsmen and designers realise their bold visions.

On Saturday night, the Dom Pérignon X Sarabande Foundation partnership ignited with an evening in celebration of unbridled creative freedom attended by those in the forefront of music, film, fashion and art.

Celebrity guests, including Sarabande Ambassadors Eddie Redmayne, Giles Deacon, Sarah Burton OBE, Camilla Lowther and Craig Green, plus supporters of the partnership Ben Aldridge, Jayde Adams, Sandy Powell, Jonathan Bailey, Hayley Atwell and Nicola Coughlan, were hosted in private suites at Dom Pérignon global collaborator Lady Gaga’s London performance of The Chromatica Ball; followed by an After Party at Sarabande’s new home situated next to the Stadium.

Artworks by Sarabande artists, and from Lee Alexander McQueen’s personal archive, filled the town houses’ rooms. Guests were encouraged to draw on the walls which were painted like blackboards. And Sarabande artists Daisy May Collingridge, Isaak Brandt, Camilla Hanney and Rosie Gibbens enchanted guests through a series of bespoke installations, live painting and performance pieces, and films entitled ‘Power of Fearless Creation’ commissioned by Dom Pérignon.

What is creative freedom? What does it look and feel like? For Dom Pérignon and Sarabande  Foundation, the inspiration to create is not a choice, creative freedom is an unstoppable impulse that sustains you, that keeps you alive, and that energises you to break free and keep pushing boundaries. Sarabande Foundation supports the education of future generations’ most visionary creatives by awarding scholarships, mentoring and subsidising studio spaces.

“The need for inexpensive artists’ studios is higher than ever. There is also a dearth of practical advice for emerging talent – and Sarabande responds to these issues. Sarabande High Road will play a big part in creating a new cultural hub in Tottenham, and we are extremely grateful for Dom Pérignon’s help in realising this important project. We were delighted to have the best of the creative industries visit our new buildings and see it brought to life through the creativity and performance of our artists,” commented Trino Verkade, founding trustee of Sarabande Foundation.

Building on the success of this event, Dom Pérignon will continue to support Sarabande’s events and its artists throughout the coming year.
