Welcome to The Wild Monkey – The Waldorf Hilton and Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Gin Pop-Up Experience

This October, Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Gin and The Waldorf Hilton have come together to create a magical pop-up bar offering decadent cocktails and a series of Wunderbar masterclasses to immerse guests into the wonderful world of Monkey 47 gin. Nestled in the heart of Covent Garden, the new space is a mustvisit destination for all gin-lovers.

Monkey 47 is an ingenious gin from Germany produced using a jaw-dropping 47 handpicked plant ingredients. The myriad of botanicals, of which a third come from the Black Forest, give Monkey 47 its unrivalled complexity and quality. However, the chief attraction is the use of fresh cranberries as a Black Forest ‘secret weapon’. The quality of all ingredients is brought to bear through masterly distillation and maturing in traditional earthenware containers. This complex spirit has a sweet, flowery aroma, with a hint of peppery spices and subtle bitter fruit notes, making it an ideal base for classic and eccentric cocktails.

The original Wild Monkey was where Montgomery Collins created the recipe that inspired Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Dry Gin. There’s no better place to learn more about this adventurous brand while sipping on a Monkey 47 Sonic and mastering the classic Martini – adding your own touch – and a new signature cocktail, which really is the Bees Knees.

Each masterclass includes a welcome drink and two cocktails, which guests will be mixing up themselves with the expert guidance of the Monkey 47 team. Masterclasses are limited to 20 people and will take place between 6:30pm-7:30pm and 8pm-9pm on the following dates: 20th & 27th October, 10th & 24th November and 8th & 15th December.
