J.J. Corry’s limited edition charity release, ‘The Whiskey Thief’, raises over €9000 at auction in celebration of International Women’s Day 2020
In celebration of International Women’s Day 2020 last month, Irish Whiskey Bonders J.J. Corry announced ‘The Whiskey Thief’, a limited edition charity release which raised over €9000 at auction. As a female-founded and led company, this release was J.J. Corry’s tribute to women breaking boundaries in the spirits industry and beyond.
Just 100 bottles were made, and all were sold exclusively at auction to raise funds for Dress for Success Dublin, an organisation that works to empower Irish women in need to access the workplace and as an advocate for gender equality.
This project was a collaboration between J.J. Corry Irish Whiskey and Irish creative duo Jill & Gill, who designed the bespoke label which illustrates the use of tools such as the ‘Whiskey Thief’ which are used by Bonders for sampling and blending their library of whiskey casks.
The Whiskey Thief is a blend of Irish Grain Whiskey from multiple distilleries and is the first of its style in the Irish Whiskey category. The release is part of a wider campaign by J.J. Corry to celebrate fellow trailblazing women in the drinks business.
