JJ Corry unveiled as one of Walpole’s 2018 emerging luxury Brands of Tomorrow
JJ Corry was introduced alongside brands including FLOWERBX, The Jackel and Aceno. Established in 2007, Brands of Tomorrow identifies 12 entrepreneurial British luxury brands that have captured the industry’s attention and, through a year-long programme of workshops and mentoring, helps them to develop their business skills and helps to accelerate their growth. Participants are paired with some of the UK’s most experienced luxury executives who provide 12 months of personal mentoring and one-to-one coaching; sharing their knowledge and expertise with the next generation.
The Chapel Gate Whiskey Co., Ireland’s first whiskey bonder in 50 years was founded by Louise McGuane in 2015 in County Clare, Ireland. The company has resurrected the lost art of Irish whiskey bonding under the J.J. Corry brand name. J.J. Corry ‘The Gael’ is made with 5% 26-year-old single malt, 27.5% 11-year-old single malt, 27.5% 15-year-old single malt and the remaining 40% is 7-year-old single grain whiskey.
As the company waits for their own Irish whiskey casks to come of age, they have sourced mature Irish whiskey from existing stocks in Ireland. With these casks they have created a series of unique and complex blends to build a future house style and flavour profile. J.J. Corry ‘The Gael’ is a clearly definable Irish whiskey with those fruit forward flavours that whiskey lovers look for in Irish whiskey.
